I love the smell of garlic. Not the smell from someone mouth (eww) or from their body (double eww). I just love the smell of garlic when cooking, I know, I am so weird but really, it makes me smile, it makes me happy.
This recipe is all about having a already made condiment that is easy to access when needed. It requires no cooking (no need to stress about that), all you need are 3 ingredients and your garlic paste is ready.
This paste can be used in several meals where garlic is called. From seasoning meat, fish, veggies, for sauce, soups, etc. this garlic paste will work great.
You should try it.

Garlic Paste
Easy garlic paste. Perfect to flavor your meals
- Blender or Mortar and Pestle
- Mason Jar or Air-tight container
- 500 g Garlic (Peeled – about 4 cups)
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 1¼ cup Vegetable Oil (Divide in half)
Blend the garlic until it turns into a paste. (You can use a blender or pound in a mortal, Use half of the oil to blend or pound into a paste ***DO NOT ADD ANY WATER*** Blend in small batches if your blender or mortal can’t blend / pound all at once)
Transfer to a bowl, add the salt and the other half of the oil and mix everything together.
Then gently pour into a jar or container, make sure the oil is to the top of the garlic paste and the jar or container is air tight so it doesn’t get brown.
Store in the fridge or freezer. (If freezing it, you can use a zip lock bag to store it.)
This is perfect for whatever you will generally require garlic for, such as seasoning and flavouring your proteins and food.
Enjoy!
